A perfect day—and an ideal start to this year’s Thanksgiving Potholder Project distributions!
The sparkle in her eye and the smile on her face say it all: a handwoven potholder, sent by a weaver from another state, brought joy and warmth to 200 families today.

Take a look at how the day unfolded.

The weather couldn’t have been better. Volunteers arrived early, spirits were high, and the food pantry was bustling. It even seemed as though this pantry was able to share more than it has in many months. If there’s any silver lining to the challenges caused by the government shutdown and the freeze on SNAP benefits, it’s that local communities are stepping up to fill the gaps — one small act of kindness at a time.
While we can’t predict how long that energy will last, one thing is certain: the weaving community’s heart continues to shine. I’m proud and grateful to be connected to such generous makers.
A Message to All Weavers
YOU — the potholder weavers across the nation — have brought joy to thousands of families over the last five years. Your weaving, your sharing, and your caring matter more than you may know.
As we move into the next rounds of distributions, more potholders are still needed to reach all the families our partner food pantries expect to serve. If you’re able, please send your potholders soon — every potholder truly makes a difference.
Please send potholders to:
Beth Myers, (THXGPP) 2007 Clipper Park Rd. #216 Baltimore, MD 21211

THANK YOU!
Thank you for helping make gratitude visible and tangible… one potholder at a time.
Namaste.
